School Assemblies

Dan Laib first started drawing when he was four years old. He has spent the last 15 years as a painter and also preforming as a caricature artist at different events all over the Chicogland area. In an economy that has little funding for the arts, Dan affordably brings creativity back into the schools and libraries by DRAWING on his years of experience in the art world. Dan’s art shows are sure to educate, entertain, and inspire your kids! Here are the shows that are currently offered:

The Art of Design Art Show

How to Draw Art Show

The Magic and Art Show

“Dan’s visit to Lincolnwood Elementary was a huge success! Students were encouraged to create their own real, life superheroes.  Elements of drawing were discussed, but the real super stars were the kids imagination.  He kept the students engaged as they were included in the design of each element.  We were blown away by Dan’s ability to cram so much punch into such a short time frame. Art teachers have such limited time with students – it was nice offering more opportunities for students to expand their artistry and ask questions from a working artist.”

Ann Perry Wilkinson  Lincolnwood Elementary School

“Mr. Laib gave an engaging and interactive workshop for all of our kindergarten through fifth grade students.  Everyone enjoyed his talk and lessons on the importance of creativity and ability everyone has to draw.  His step by step instructions and demonstrations held everyone’s interest and was also entertaining.  I highly recommend his workshops for any age.”

Rebecca, Cultural Arts at Patton Elementary School, Arlington Heights, IL

“It was great to see all of the students actively involved in an assembly where they were able to follow simple steps for creating a drawing that they were proud of. We try to cultivate creativity in our school, and this assembly provided students with an opportunity to unlock a creative side they might not know they had.”

Eric Larson, Principal,  Patton Elementary School

“Dan is one of the best presenters we have ever had at Central Road School! He is talented artist, and a natural teacher. The kids loved every minute of this assembly, and were all smiles as they each left with two wonderful drawings that Dan helped them create. We all appreciated his wit and humor, and his message that everybody can draw!”
